Wasim Ahmad Bhat

Wasim hails from Jammu & Kashmir and has been passionate about Alpine Skiing since childhood. Inspired by his father and elder brother, he turned a family tradition into a professional career.

Journey

Starting as a junior skier in 2013, Wasim won his first bronze medal at the national level.

His career took off when he joined the senior national circuit in 2018, followed by his international debut at the FIS tournament in Lebanon (2022).
He has since competed in FIS events in the UAE and Kazakhstan, proving his potential on the global stage.

Despite financial challenges, he funds his training by coaching junior athletes. His ultimate goal is to represent India at the Olympics.
